By far one of the most impactful aspects of the Blogher conference is the opportunity to meet amazing women bloggers from all over the world. As the largest conference for women bloggers, there is no shortage of opportunities to network, share, and learn with influential women in the digital space.Â
At the STOKKE® and Land of Nod event attended by mom bloggers not only were we able to tell them about STOKKE®’s adjustable wood high chair, the Tripp Trapp®, our single baby stroller, theXplory®, as well as our adjustable crib, the Sleepiâ„¢, we were also able to have wonderful conversations with some of the smartest women on the Net during dinner. We talked about blogging, parenting, and social networking. It was definitely a night to remember for those of us who love the new digital landscape and all its possibilities.
Some of the moms also enjoyed their time with us, for which we are grateful. Jill from The Diaper Diaries said, “There were only 15 of us so it was nice and intimate and a great way to get to know some bloggers in an uncrazy setting. And I got to learn all about some amazing products from Stokke.”Â
Trisha from Sweet ‘n’ Sassy Girls said, “Next up were the parties. I didn’t go to very many, because they all seemed to be loud and crowded and you couldn’t even hear each other talk. The evening that started at the Land of Nod and ended at Sangria restaurant was much more than a night highlighting products that inspire the ultimate, modern baby nursery. It was a night about camarderie and women enjoying each other’s company.
Swaziland, a country of 1.1 million people, is like much of sub-Saharan Africa and is suffering from a rife populaton of HIV/AIDS sufferers. In fact, 40% of their population between the ages of 15-45 has HIV/AIDS. Even more remarkable than that is their average lifespan is only 32 years of age. STOKKE®has set out to assist the Swazi children who live quite vulnerable lives. In 2008, 85,000 children were orphaned and the numbers continue to get worse. In 2010, researchers insist orphaned children in Swaziland will reach 120,000.
Working closely with the children’s SOS children’s village, STOKKE® has pledged to give orphaned children a safe home, a mother, a family, and bright future. With help from STOKKE®, the SOS children’s village will be able to rebuild its facilities to house more children and families.

BlogHer, the largest women blogger’s conference in the world, took place during the weekend of July 24-26 and STOKKE® was on hand to connect with women bloggers at a intimate, private event hosted at The Land of Nod in Chicago.Â
Thirteen mom bloggers were shown product demos of the STOKKE® Xplory® infant baby stroller,Tripp Trapp® from STOKKE® adjustable high chair, and the STOKKE® Sleepiâ„¢round baby crib. Some of the moms were already familiar with STOKKE® collection and others were learning about STOKKE® for the very first time. No matter where the moms were in their knowledge of STOKKE® products, most, if not all, were pleased with the philosophy behind STOKKE® products that make the perfect modern baby nursery.Â
